This qualification designed for students who want to blend academic theory with real-world application. Unlike traditional A-Levels, this course offers a balanced assessment approach, with 50% external exams and 50% internal coursework. The following subjects would be suitable to combine with this qualification: Biology and English. Students completing this course could go into a degree within Nursing, Social Work and any other subjects Allied to Health

Year 12

  • Human Lifespan and Development – internal assessment

  • Principles of Health and social care – external exam

Year 13

  • Promoting health education – internal assessment

  • Human Biology and Health – external exam
